Hi all!

Tis that time again ... Camp is gearing up for its now annual fundraising dinner.  But this year has added meaning for us - Avi Orlow is being honored this year, for the creation of the Kav Reches program.

It would be incredibly wonderful if we could again band together to put an ad into the ad book, from the whole edah in honor of Avi. 

I also hope that folks in the area will consider coming out to the event! (info below)

Depending on interest, we could shoot for the Solelim ad (1/8 page, $180), Nitzanim ad (1/4 page, $360), or Tzeerim ad (1/2 page, $540).

Please respond if you are interested in contributing.  (As our perpetual problem is the collection of money, I am working on a smooth way of doing this.)

Rabbi Arthur Ruberg Rabbi Arthur Ruberg has been the Rabbi of Beth El in Norfolk, Virginia, since 1988, and was named Rabbi Emeritus in 2011. Rabbi Ruberg also served congregations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey as Associate Rabbi and Religious Education Director. He led Camp Ramah in the Poconos as Director from 1976-1980. Drs. Ruth and Mark Joffe Ruth Tomases, former camper, madornick and counselor from 1966-1976 just missed Mark Joffe, counselor in 1977. They met through mutual friends and got married. In 2000, Mark became Medical Director, and together they have seen each of their four children enjoy their Ramah experiences.  Geoff Menkowitz Geoff Menkowitz is entering his seventh season as Director of Camp Ramah Darom, where he formerly held the position of Assistant Director. Born in Philadelphia, Geoff grew up at Ramah Poconos and was Rosh Gesher in 2001. He partnered with Avi Orlow to create the Kav Reches (Outdoor Education) program under the directorship of Cheryl Magen. Rabbi Avi Orlow Rabbi Avi Orlow is the Director of Jewish Education at the Foundation for Jewish Camp. Before joining FJC in 2008, Avi was the Campus Rabbi and Assistant Director of the Hillel at Washington University in St. Louis. Avi grew up attending Camp Ramah in the Poconos and was Rosh Gesher in 2000. He partnered with Geoff Menkowitz to create the Kav Reches (Outdoor Education) program under the directorship of Cheryl Magen. Click here to register! Hi gang,

I have heard back from many and it looks like we definitely will be able to put an ad together!  Thanks so much to everyone for making this happen.

If everyone who has responded is still on board for $36 each, we definitely have enough for a 1/4 page ad ($360), but are quite close to being able to go for the 1/2 page ad ($540).  If it's okay, please donate whatever you feel comfortable, and if we don't quite make it to the next level, I will put the extra into the GesherFund.  Anyone who hasn't responded, please still feel free to get in on the action!

Are folks comfortable paying through PayPal?  I have an account through my e-mail address, jul...@hotmail.com.

If not, regular check is fine.  My address is 4327 Baltimore Ave., Apt. 2, Philadelphia, PA, 19104.

Hi all,

Happy snow to those on the East Coast!  I just received a notice that ads are due next week, so I just wanted to check in with folks about getting ours together.

Thanks to Midel and Miriam for figuring out how to process this through PayPal!  Is it giving anyone else trouble?  Please let me know if you are.

Hey everyone! Wanted to let you know that if you are going to be coming to the gala event which I hope many of you are - we have an amazing opportunity to get your donation matched. After alumni weekend am anonymous family who had an incredible time at camp and wanted to continue supporting camp pledged a matching grant of 5,710 dollars if we could raise that money as well.
