Good day Gerris users,

I am unable to use the following line in my parameter script:
Init {istep = 1 } { U=U/1 }

but this works:
Init {istep = 1 } { U=U }

I receive the following error message:
george@george-VirtualBox:~/Gerris/P8369 FAW$ gerris2D Broken.gfs
gerris: file `Broken.gfs' is not a valid simulation file
Broken.gfs:5:27: error compiling expression
gcc: error: FAW: No such file or directory

I am using ubuntu 11.10 and the following version of Gerris:
george@george-VirtualBox:~/Gerris/P8369 FAW$ gerris2D -V
gerris: using 2D libgfs version 1.3.2 (121021-165115)
  compiled with flags: -g -O2 -g -O2 -Wall
  MPI:          yes
  pkg-config:   yes
  m4:           yes

I have attached the parameter file to this email.

I am not sure if this is a bug or if it is a mistake on my side.

Best regards,
George

Hi George,

Gerris (and other unix codes) often do not like "spaces" in directory
names i.e. "P8369 FAW". If you remove the space, the problem should go
away. I will fix the bug upstream too.

cheers

Stephane

Thanks Stephane,

I removed the space in the directory name and it works now.

Best regards,
George
