Subject: Waste Removal Update

Hello Neighborhood Leaders,

Please share the following important information with your residents.

The Quad County Landfill will remain closed through the weekend and is now expected to reopen on Monday, February 2.

As a result, Waste Pro has adjusted next week’s collection schedule to prioritize trash and recycling for affected residents, particularly those on the Friday route who have experienced extended delays.

Collection plan for next week:

  • Monday, February 2: Waste Pro will collect Friday’s trash and recycling only. Yard waste will not be collected.

  • Remainder of the week: Trash and recycling will operate on a one-day delay.

  • Saturday, February 7: An additional Friday trash and recycling collection will occur.

  • Yard waste service is expected to resume Monday, February 9.

The City recognizes the inconvenience this has caused and appreciates residents’ continued patience as crews work to restore normal service following the landfill closure and recent winter weather.

Thank you, everyone. Please stay safe.

Best,

Erinn
