Hello Neighborhood Leaders,

Please share the following important information with your relevant residents.

Big improvements are underway at Riverdale Park - right next to Riverdale Elementary School.

The City has started a major construction project to improve safety, parking and access at the park. While the work is exciting, it will affect how families get to and from school.

Here’s what you need to know:

• The bike lane along Neshoba Road is closed and not safe for walkers or bikers.
• Families must enter the school property from Miller Farms Road.
• Much of Riverdale Park is closed during construction.

Once the project is finished, there will be 80+ new parking spaces, safer drop-off and pick-up areas, better sidewalks and paths and more space for activities.

We know this might be an inconvenience now, but it will make a big difference in the long run, making the park and school area safer and easier to access for everyone.
