FREE! Direct your AZ income taxes to support tuition-free German language instruction and programming

FREE! Two great ways of supporting German language teaching and cultural programming and perhaps YOUR OWN CHILD that won’t cost you a penny!

1)      If you pay any AZ State Income taxes, you can redirect up to $200 of the taxes you pay anyway as a single filer or $400 as a joint filer to Desert Sky Community School, a non-profit tuition-free charter school where all students learn German twice a week from a fully certified teacher with a degree in German language instruction, and German cultural events are regularly celebrated (next: Fasching!). Under this extracurricular tax credit program for public schools, you get a dollar-for-dollar credit against your AZ state income taxes, in addition to any credit you might get for donations to private school tuition organization donations.

Please go to http://www.desertskycommunityschool.org/shop.html and click on desertskycommunityschool.org/taxcreditform to print out a form to complete and mail in with your donation, or just go to the bottom of the page and click on “donate now” to make your donation by credit card (Be sure to note in the designation box that this is a tax credit donation). Either way, please be sure to make your donation by December 31!

2)      Is your child currently attending a private school in Tucson, such as Tucson International School? Would you like someone to donate to that school’s tuition scholarship organization in support of your child? If so, please contact Erich Saphir ASAP at 520-321-9081 and he will try to match you with a donor.
