hey, people...
rammstein is a german band, which predominantly sings in german,
not caring whether they have a worldwide audience or not. it's kind of
a heavy rock, for those who don't know about them. if anyone is
interested, i've uploaded one of their famous tracks, 'reise,
reise' ('arise, arise', though the literal meaning is 'travel').
the lyrics and translation are given below, and the translation/
pronunciation of each word in the song can help everyone, i guess.

and came to mean "journey" or "voyage". The verb "reisen" was
rederived from the noun "Reise", but now means "to journey" or "to
travel". It seems the old meaning has been preserved in this phrase in
the seaman's language.
