Hi!
Next week we kick off the 2024 Virtual Fedora Showcase and we are so excited. It’s not too late to register! Don’t miss out on your chance to join this FREE 3-day event bringing together Fedora users and enthusiasts from around the world!
We have a jammed packed schedule of events, which you can find on our Fedora wiki space - https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/FF/2024+Virtual+Fedora+Showcase.
Highlights of this year’s event include:
- Newcomers Welcome Meet & Greet (Oct 1, 9:30-10:00am Eastern) – This casual, social event is taking place before things kick off on Day 1. New and retuning community members are welcome to drop in
to say Hi, meet fellow users and meet the program team. There is no planned activities during this time, simply an opportunity to gather and get to know one another. 😃
- Documentation Work-a-Thon (Oct 3, 12:45 – 2:00pm Eastern) – This is a brand new opportunity to get involved in a community effort to update and review current Fedora 6 documentation. There is no strong
technical skills or deep familiarity with the Fedora stack required to participate in this event - simply a willingness to read, review and check for dead links! We are inviting everyone to help us update our wiki to ensure it is accurate, functional and accessible
to all. We hope you’ll join us for this live working session. Instructions will be provided.
- Engagement Activities – After the success of last year’s engagement activity sessions, we are bringing them back this year. Details are being finalized, but just know that they will involve fun, laughs
and probably some trivia! Participation is not required, but having fun is encouraged 😉
We can’t wait to see you all next week.
Reserve your spot today (https://lyrasis.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZwsd-6upzwuE9DWdwzIWx2i7B6IYpFWDrx7).
Cheers,
Arran
