GSD's for USAR

Hello,
My husband and I are going into EMT training this summer and we have
started looking for a dog for USAR work. Much to my surprise the GSD's
have changed a LOT since I was a child. It just broke my heart to see
what has become of them, nothing like my childhood dog.
We are looking for a "traditional" GSD like the type that was around
before they got skewed in the show ring?
Straight back with correct hocks, not the crippled dogs we have been
seeing around all over the place with sickle cow hocks and curved
spines. We need a solid, sound, agile, intelligent dog.

Does anyone know anyone that breeds traditional GSDs that has a solid
record of health testing on breeding stock, and some familiarity with
USAR work and evaluation?
We are in San Diego Ca.
