    I'd like to invite all of you living in the Bay Area to a special
    guest lecture with Ralph Samuel on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, 11
    a.m. at UC Berkeley. Ralph will be speaking in German about his life
    and escaping the Holocaust on the Kindertransport to England. For more

    weitersagen, dies ist ein öffentlicher Vortrag/this is a public lecture.
     
    For English speakers and writers in the Bay Area:
    Dr. Norma Smith, a dear colleague of mine, is offering a new writing
    group, called "Finding the Words," starting Tuesday, October 1:
    "Dear Friends,
    I'll be facilitating a writing group for patients and care providers
    this fall at Kehilla Community Synagogue on Grand Ave in Oakland/
    Piedmont. We'll be learning to listen —to ourselves and each other—
    and practicing writing our experiences. Please join us and/or share
    this with others.
