Iam trying to find a plugin for Photoshop CS6 that will allow me to view and save in the webp format. I have tried several sources, and they either don't work, or only allow me to save as in webp format. I have been placing all attempted plugins here:
It works for me in CS6 are you sure you installed the Plug-in in CC 2019 and also in CS6. I install thirt party 32bit and 64Bit Photoshop Plug-ins in my 32bit and 64bit Plug-in trees. I link all Photoshop version Plug-in folder to my Plug-in trees All version of Photoshop use the same third party plug-in files.
I thought I would contact google asking why dont they produce a fix, one that works all ways, but its impossible to get hold of them, and all their preset issues to choose from dont mention webp. They expect prog developers to provide their own fixes yet here we are relying on independent folk to do so when Adobe should have pulled their fingers out and provided us with such.
I don't know about all plugins, but in the case of old Astute Graphics plugins you can find them in the "Apps & Features" panel of the Windows Control panel (Add and Remove Programs in System Settings). Might be worth a look.
As you've checked "My Exchange" and not found anything, I'm guessing that means neither Adobe Extension Manager CC and nor Anastasiy's Extension Manager will be any use either. But if you're desperate...
Office add-ins have always struggled to keep up with Microsoft and it got worse when Office became a subscription service. The Microsoft train keeps rolling and third party developers - even the big ones like Adobe - will always be left scrambling to keep up.
The Adobe PDF plugin for Outlook does something that print to PDF does not. It converts emails into PDF portfolios, and maintains the attachments. Depending on his desired outcome, print to PDF may not even be an option.
When I try to open a pdf with fileopen drm on it, instead of opening the pdf it will open a browser page prompting me to install the fileopen plugin. I have installed and tried to open the pdf again with the same result. I have tried multiple fresh installs of acrobat reader and the plugin, tried using the fileopen plugin remover provided on the website, running as administrator and various compatibility settings. I have contacted tech support of the company that provided the pdfs and they have no idea.
I remember I had this issue a couple of years ago and it drove me crazy and unfortunately I can't remember how I solved it. Iirc is was a relatively simple fix too. Unfortunely this seems to be a fairly obscure plugin and there isn't a whole lot of information availible out there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for replying, I will certainly try, however I am not holding out much hope as on thier support page it says they only offer support to thier direct customers. I am a customer of another organisation who use thier product, and when I contacted the orgnisation that provides the pdf they had no idea how to resolve the problem. I was on the phone with them for over an hour today and they couldn't figure it out. Was hoping someone here would have some idea as I don't want to wait weeks while I go through a lengthy process involving several different parties.
That was my idea. Contact the maker. However, here is one more thing to try. Go to Edit > Preferences and look under General. Find the option "Use only certified plug-ins". Make sure there is NO CHECK MARK next to this option - the option must be OFF in your Reader.
Anyway, I get the 'invalid plugin' each time I try and open a PDF. I've gone through the discussions, and there is a lot of talk about removing the 'Plug_ins' folder or removing apps like bable translation. However, the only folder I have in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader' is 'acrocef_1', and I don't use any of the apps suggested as being in conflict with adobe reader
Please go to the location- C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\plug_ins and remove one of the DLL file "ComposerPlayerControl.dll" then start Acrobat Reader (right click on desktop screen, choose Properties/ Compatibility) and go to Help -> Repair Installation and check if that works.
I've updated Premiere Pro to t he latest version 22.6.2. I've been waiting for this because in previous versions when you create proxies from interpreted footage the speed was mismatched. It's now fixed! But I've just installed Catalyst_Prepare_Plugin_1.0.0.62 to work with my Sony FX3 and my projects are now broken. I get a warning saying (Importer:39) A low-level exception occured in :catalyst prepate plugin importer. In my bin all of my footage shows with a red icon and a '?'.
Sorry to hear about this. It seems like currently, Catalyst Prepare Plugin is only compatible with Premiere Pro versions 15.4 to 22.4. You may need to check with Sony to verify the compatibility with the latest version of Premiere Pro or for an updated version of the plugin. Also, to remove the plugin, you may navigate to Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore & remove the plugin from the MediaCore folder. Please refer to this link to know more about the compatibility & installation/uninstallation of the plugin.
Same with me, I was getting so frustrated because it completely destroyed my premiere. And the errors are such that it doesn't ever pinpoint what the issue is in language that the layman can understand. Only through trial and error did I realize it was an out of date Catalyst Prepare that I JUST bought.
I reached out to Sony and they basically said, sorry, nothing we can do, the plugin is through a third party called Cleverbridge, and to contact them if you want a refund, since that is what I requested, having bought a defunct product.
It's very strange that Sony doesn't have a direct line of communication with Cleverbridge in order to get answers on a firmware update, provide support or refunds, etc. This is representing their brand.
IF YOU CAN'T FIND "catalyst_prepare_plugin" DO THIS
After a lot of frustration digging around the GOTO chain, I came across this comment. Just wanted to flag it for others having the same problem.
Hi. I had exactly the same problems. Don't blame Adobe, it is Sony and Catalyst Prepare. If you are on a new M series Mac (M1, M2, etc) then avoid this for now. Catalyst Prepare is currently an Intel app and so requires lots of extra software to run (Rosetta 2). If you are on an older Intel Mac you might be okay. Perhaps best to roll back a version of Premiere as well to when Plugin worked well. Or use the Prepare app instead (It is also not optimised for M1 mac, but it is better).
I have custom RTE plugins for the touch UI component and sometimes all the plugins are rendering fine and sometimes not. I have my custom RTE clientlibs under the component. This issue happens only in higher environments, not in my local. Provided screenshots below for references. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Look for "Source" section in Developer tools as you load the page and the component with RTE. (Complete JS files. In particular, OOTB JS files that are loaded in higher environment and lower environment) and also the console errors.
Can you please compare first your files(Ex: - Service Packs, any custom files) between lower environment (Ex:- Local Instance where its working fine) and higher environment to check for any mismatch. Also please check for logs(AEM and Console Logs) that is able to give you any meaningful information about why it is failing.
How do I get started developing a Premiere Pro plugin? I have Premiere Pro CS3 and a working knowledge of
VB.NET. (I have experience with a number of other languages that I can use to get around if need be.)
I don't know of any really good tutorials out there. The best way to get started would be to try compiling some of the examples that come with Premiere SDK [using VC++, they all come with project files], then see if they work as expected. There's a "Simple Video Filter" plugin in the examples that might be a good starting point.
If you haven't done a lot of C++ yet, C++ in Action is one of the better [online, free] introductions I've seen. It might be too basic, but some of the plugin API stuff is pretty hairy, so a separate non-Adobe-API-related place to brush up on the language is probably a good idea.

The Adobe CC plugin provides NotchLC import and export capabilities to Adobe After Effects, Premiere and Media Encoder for the .mov container format. It is available on both PC and Mac. Encoding and decoding is GPU accelerated as long as a DirectX11 compatible GPU is available on PC, or a Metal compatible GPU on Mac.
