Hi Taras,
That would be a good plugin for data lab, yours is probably the first :)
Though recasting can already be done with "Duplicate column" button in data
laboratory, this would be useful to automatically recast many columns at
once.

Can you explain a bit more the force recast option (maybe a tooltip or some
short text in the UI) and in which way the conversion is different than
what AttrituteType parsing does?
Also, it would rather be a PluginGeneralActionsManipulator instead of a
GeneralActionsManipulator so it will appear in the "More actions" drop down
list because the main toolbar is already full.
By the way I recently added some data lab plugin examples to
https://github.com/gephi/gephi-plugins-bootcamp

About the existing pull requests, please check the comment I wrote in
https://github.com/gephi/gephi/issues/519
and about the DL fixes, I need to review that again because it is more
tricky than the other fixes and it cannot be automatically merged now.

Thanks,
Eduardo

Hi Taras,
That's great, I will try the plugin.
I see, the current parsing will set null if it is unsuccessfull (except for
columns that can't have null values like weight).
