Hi Devin,
The improvements in the timeline are indeed a high priority, and it would be awesome if you can help on this! The best would be to directly modify the DesktopTimeline component than create a plugin.
@Juian, you wrote this module, did you made progress on graduation support? And I know you had the plan to add the blity to manually enter the Tineline bounds, what is the status?
Thank you
Mathieu

Hey All,
I have been using gephi for about a year now in doing visualization tests with Twitter Data - I run a toolkit for Twitter called 140kit and am looking into the new timeline features, which I am profoundly interested in. I have a fair amount of programming skills, and am willing to take up building out some form of timeline controls for the timeline plugin - basically, I want to be able to enter an increment value (say 60, or minute-by-minute increments), a width (say, one hour at a time or 3600), and then be able to click next,next,etc... and be able to preview/save out the produced graphs on this form.
Right now, I've resorted to using Sikuli to try to script actions for the GUI, but its obviously the hackiest possible solution, and I think many people would want this sort of control on the timeline. Who should I talk to/where should I begin on doing this work?
Devin
