Dear Colleagues,

For the newly-funded ERC Advanced Grant project Global Assessment of Participation in Sustainability Governance (GAPS) I am looking to fill five positions, all starting October this year. The group is based at the beautiful campus of Leuphana University Lüneburg (Hamburg metropolitan area) in Norhern Germany, with one position partly based in Berlin.

• Postdoctoral researcher: AI-assisted case database, methods, and synthesis
• Doctoral researcher: Participation and sustainability performance
• Doctoral researcher: Participation, democracy, and justice
• Doctoral researcher: Global patterns of participation
• Doctoral researcher: Participation in environmental impact assessments (in collaboration with TU Berlin)

Application deadline is 10 August 2026.
