The ACHIEVE project aims to identify opportunities to strengthen and scale up such voluntary climate action to contribute to reaching net-zero emissions by mid-century.

We are excited to announce a unique PhD opportunity for talented graduates who are passionate about biodiversity and climate action. This position is part of the new BioCAM4 project, which focuses on integrating biodiversity with transnational climate adaptation and mitigation actions.
The PhD candidate will be based at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS), and work closely with researchers at Radboud University, Leuphana University, and York University.

I’m reaching out to invite you to contribute to a section I’m co-chairing at the upcoming ECPR Conference (26–29 August 2025, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki).
Our section, Strengthening Integrity of Voluntary Climate Action in Turbulent Times, will explore the vital role of non-state and subnational actors in advancing climate and sustainability goals amid the intersecting challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, economic volatility, and political polarization.
We are seeking papers that address:
