About the Speakers:

Doug Watkins
Chief Executive, East Asian-Australasian Flyway Partnership (EAAFP) Secretariat
Mr. Watkins has over 40 years of involvement in the conservation of migratory waterbirds and their habitats. Before arriving at EAAFP, he served as Manager of Wetlands International - Oceania.

Dr. Bernhard Seliger
Resident Representative, Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) in Korea
Dr. Seliger has almost two decades of experience in sustainable reforestation and wetlands conservation efforts in DPR Korea.
About the Virtual Talk:
This month's virtual talk will begin with an overview of EAAFP's efforts to build a regional partnership for the conservation
of migratory waterbirds. Mr. Watkins will then highlight climate change and biodiversity-related work that EAAFP has done in DPR Korea and reflect on lessons that can be learned. Dr. Seliger will conclude with a brief discussion of HSF's sustainable forestry
projects and his experience with reforestation efforts in DPR Korea.
