Dear Colleagues,

Welcome back to school! Do you have sustainability on your mind? AASHE offers a variety of webinars, workshops, a conference, publications and many more resources to help you navigate these questions.

AASHE is turning 20! Celebrate with us at the 2025 AASHE Conference & Expo, via the communities of practice, virtual educational programs or by reviewing our publications (newly released: Beyond the Right Thing to Do: The Value of Sustainability in Higher Education) and resources.

WEBINARS

Webinars are usually held on Wednesdays, starting at 2:00 p.m. ET unless otherwise noted and are free for everyone to attend. Video recordings and presentation materials are available for members in the webinar archive at any time.

.

WORKSHOP Nov. 3 & 6: STARS 3.0 Data Quality Training & Certification - This pay-what-you-wish event offers strategies and tools to develop and hone literacy around STARS version 3.0, with the ultimate goal of helping institutions efficiently submit, review and publish high-quality and accurate reports.

WORKSHOP Nov. 13: Addressing the Inner Dimension of Sustainability in Higher Education - This workshop experientially explores the significance of inner dimensions—our mindsets, which include individual and collective beliefs, values, worldviews, as well as associated inner (cognitive, emotional, and relational) qualities and capacities—for bringing about transformative change.

Publications

AASHE publications examine a wide range of higher education sustainability issues and include focused reports, how-to guides and benchmarking tools. In today’s rapidly changing landscape, higher education’s role in advancing sustainability has never been more critical. Colleges and universities are uniquely positioned to prepare changemakers, drive innovation, and model transformative action. That’s why we’ve updated Beyond the Right Thing to Do: The Value of Sustainability in Higher Education, a timely resource to help higher education leaders and sustainability practitioners articulate the measurable value of sustainability in today’s context.

Communities of Practice

Anyone is welcome to join the Communities of Practice - self-organizing networks of higher education sustainability advocates formed around specific topics of interest. All you need is a free AASHE account!

We’re here if you need support with any of the above! All best,

Daita
