VIRTUAL CONFERENCE
What insights does social science give us about the public concerns, values, and trust issues regarding gene editing in agriculture and food? And how should that be considered when developing regulations, private governance, and socially responsive policies? Gene Editing in Agriculture and Food, an engaging online conference hosted by Iowa State University October 20-21, will examine those and related issues by leveraging the latest scholarly research to examine governance and social concerns surrounding gene editing in agriculture and food.

This virtual conference will present research and insights from social scientists and other scholars regarding social concerns and public engagement on gene editing in agriculture and food. It will explore the interrelationship of governance and engagement, identifying key considerations, responsibilities and opportunities.
