The University of Münster in Germany is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to fill the position of Innovation Hub Manager (100%, fixed-term [31 October 2027], focus area: socio-ecological sustainability) within the European University Alliance “Ulysseus”, an alliance of eight universities funded under the Commission’s 2023 Erasmus+ call. Tasks:
- Implementation of the Innovation Hub’s (IH) scientific strategy “Socio-Ecological Sustainability”
- Management and administration of the IH
- Coordination with the IHs of partner universities
- Identification and realization of third-party funding opportunities
- Collaboration in establishing joint study programs within the same network of partner universities.
Expectations:
- Excellent degree in social sciences, humanities, or natural sciences subject (university degree: diploma and/or master)
- A doctorate (at least magna cum laude) in the field of sustainability
- Knowledge and experience regarding key sustainability challenges from a systemic perspective (e.g., proven through doctoral studies or project experience)
- Very good written and oral English language proficiency are required.
- Experience with academic self-administration, work within European projects, and/or third-party funding are desirable.
- Willingness to travel abroad for several days, including longer journeys by train (up to 12 hours instead of flights).
- Intercultural skills, openness to other work cultures, being receptive to justice- and gender-related issues.
