INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR BUSINESS & SOCIETY (IABS) DOCTORAL CONSORTIUM

34th Annual Conference

Bath, United Kingdom

Conference dates: June 5-11, 2023

Doctoral consortium dates: June 7-8 June 2023

We invite you to apply to attend the IABS Doctoral consortium June 7-8 2023. IABS is a broad umbrella that covers a wide range of topics, and so if your PhD research covers any topic in the field of Business ad Society scholarship consider applying. The doctoral consortium is an excellent opportunity to get access to established scholars in our field, understand the world of business and society research and scholarship better, develop your network and get feedback on your research.

The Consortium will comprise multiple sessions in which a variety of topics – e.g., conducting high quality research, publishing in premier journals, getting first academic job, using social media for enhancing professional recognition, becoming an impactful scholar – will be addressed. Additionally, each participant will be matched with a mentor who will provide constructive feedback during a one-on-one session.

Who should apply: We welcome applications from PhD students (all stages) in the broadly defined field of Business and Society which includes, but is not limited to, subfields as corporate social responsibility, corporate sustainability, corporate governance, business ethics, business and public policies.

How to apply: Please submit a 1-2 page long extended dissertation abstract (if you are an advanced doctoral student); or a 1-2 page dissertation proposal (if you are a beginning or an intermediate doctoral student). Please include your contact details and affiliation on the front page.

Please note that participating in the doctoral consortium doesn’t involve an extra fee, but registration to the Annual Conference and membership of IABS is required. Here is the link to register for the conference. Doctoral students benefit from a reduced conference registration fee. There may also be further financial support available. This is assessed on an individual basis.

Where to submit your application: Email your materials to Ellen Holtmaat, IABS 2023 Doctoral Conference Co-organizer (ellen.h...@oregonstate.edu)
