Dear all,
Apologies for cross-posting.
The Department of Comparative Politics at the University of Bergen, Norway, have announced two four-year fully funded PhD positions. The salaries are good and PhDs also benefit from a generous package for research support.
PhD projects within all fields of comparative politics are welcome. The department starts a new bachelor's programme in PPE next year, so we also welcome projects at the intersection of politics and economics or politics and philosophy/political theory.
The department is friendly and international, with a vibrant PhD community, and Bergen is beautiful and affordable. Norwegian academia generally allows for a good work-life balance.
The deadline for applying is August 11, 2026. Details of the application can be found here: https://www.jobbnorge.no/en/available-jobs/job/302783/two-phd-positions-at-the-department-of-comparative-politics
Please share within your networks, and I’m happy to field any questions from interested parties.
Best wishes,
Fay
