Hi all, please see below for an interesting postdoc opportunity. Forwarding on behalf of my colleague, Erin Hennes (contact in the info below).

Best,
Kim

Hi all,

Could you please distribute the below information broadly to early-career sustainability researchers in psychology, political science, and related fields? Candidates apply to the program directly and may specify an institution and/or mentor of interest. Purdue is a participating institution, as are several other universities. Note that the application requires a 3 pp research proposal and the deadline is 1/24. [Sorry for the short notice - our Center only just received the matching funds from the Provost's Office enabling us to participate.] Individuals interested in joining my lab should contact me as soon as possible for assistance in preparing the proposal.

Thanks so much!

Erin

Please see the call for applications for a generously-funded, two-year Sloan Foundation-supported postdoctoral fellowship as part of the multisite New Carbon Economy Consortium. Applicants are encouraged to identify an institution and/or specific mentors of interest from the collaborating institutions. Faculty at the Purdue University Center for the Environment, including myself, are available as potential mentors. Much more information about the position, participating institutions, and application instructions can be found here.

Applicants who are interested in listing me as a potential mentor should contact me as soon as possible. More information about the Social Cognition of Social Justice Lab is available here.

Please share broadly with early-career environmental social scientists.

Thank you!

The Northwestern campus sits on the traditional homelands of the people of the Council of Three Fires, the Ojibwe, Potawatomi, and Odawa as well as the Menominee, Miami and Ho-Chunk nations. It was also a site of trade, travel, gathering and healing for more than a dozen other Native tribes and is still home to over 100,000 tribal members in the state of Illinois. I also recognize Northwestern University’s historical relationship with the Cheyenne and Arapaho. These lands continue to carry the stories of these Nations, their forced removal, and their struggles for survival and recognition. As a scholar, I have a responsibility to acknowledge both the Peoples as well as the histories of dispossession that have allowed for the growth of this institution. By reflecting on these histories, I hope to actively address the role that my university has played in shaping them.
