Dear Colleagues and friends,
May I kindly invite you to participate in the Ocean Data Survey, a research effort focused on understanding how ocean data, technology, and knowledge are used in international negotiations and policymaking.
This survey is part of the ERC research project TwinPolitics (grant agreement No 101124903 – TwinPolitics – ERC-2024-STG) based at the Department of Political Science at the University of Vienna.
The survey is aimed at a broad range of actors involved in ocean-related governance, including decision-makers, diplomats, scientists, and non-state actors. Your input will help us identify:
The survey will take approximately 15–20 minutes to complete and is available in all six UN languages, including German.

We kindly ask you to participate by 31.05.2026.
This study is part of a broader effort to explore how emerging technologies such as Digital Twins of the Ocean (DTOs) can support more effective ocean governance.
For general questions or comments regarding the study and survey, please contact: twinpoliti...@univie.ac.at
For questions regarding the project and research in general, please reach out to: alice....@univie.ac.at
We would also greatly appreciate it if you could share this invitation with relevant colleagues or networks who may be interested.
Thank you very much for your support!
All the best
