literature on vulnerability, resilience, and adaptation (esp in SIDS)

I am trying to initiate a new project on vulnerability, resilience, and adaptation, especially (though not exclusively) in Small Island Developing States.  If those doing work in this realm would be kind enough to (offline) send me the best 5-10 pieces, especially review pieces (that can point me to others), I would be most grateful.  I will collate and send back to the group.
