Special issue on Water Politics, Salud Colectiva Journal (Universidad Nacional de Lanús, Argentina)
Guest Editors: Maria Akchurin (CIPR, Tulane University), Melina Tobias (Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas/Instituto de Investigaciones Gino Germani), and Nicolás Damin (Universidad Nacional de Lanús)
Submission Deadline: May 31, 2019
For this special issue, the guest editors seek recent research on water politics in Argentina, the Americas, and other parts of the world. Examples of research include studies of social movements for the defense of water; studies relating to cases of water pollution and clean-up; accounts explaining institutional changes in water policy and governance; analysis about the production of knowledge around water politics; ethnographic accounts focusing on community approaches to water access and management, or relationships to water infrastructures; and studies of how water plays a role in socio-environmental conflicts around extractive industries. We are especially interested in research that relates the politics of water to community health and inequality. Contributions based on qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method approaches are all welcome.
Please submit your papers by May 31, 2019 via Salud Colectiva. Manuscripts should be no more than 7,000 words. The journal is published in Spanish. Manuscripts may be submitted for review in Spanish or English, but those in English will be translated into Spanish for publication and published in bilingual form.
Salud Colectiva, an interdisciplinary journal based at the Universidad Nacional de Lanús in Argentina, is indexed by Scopus, Web of Science, ProQuest, Redalyc, HAPI, LATINDEX, MEDLINE, SciELO Argentina, DOAJ, DIALNET, PASCAL, CLASE, and others.
