Please join us for the next session of the Environmental Politics and Governance Network's "Deep Climate Conversations" on Thursday, October 2nd at 12pm EST.  

The topic for the next conversation is: "The Climate Movement in Hard Times"

We plan to discuss the following questions:

•  We're seeing a situation globally where many political leaders are retreating on climate issues. Which tactics have been effective in mobilizing in past periods of limited political opportunities, and why? Might they still be effective during Trump 2.0 and with the potential for climate backlash in Europe? 
• Have disruptive tactics --- like museum vandalism and road blockages --- helped or hurt the climate movement? Why? What kinds of approaches do you see as missing from the movement? 
• In today's politics, the climate movement is often targeted as elitist and out of touch with the concerns of the working class. Is this perception accurate? How can this image be changed?
