Dear GEP,

I am writing to invite you to submit to this Special Collection across both Plants People Planet (PPP) & New Phytologist on Anthromes and Terrestrial Carbon. This collection seeks to explore the inter-relationship of people, CO2-fertilisation, and terrestrial carbon source–sink dynamics during the deep past, through major cultural transitions, and in the net-zero motivated near-future.

I am serving as a guest editor for the collection along with Matt Craig, Rose Abramoff, Anthony Walker and Crystal McMichael. This is a great space for social scientists to reach a wider audience and converse with climate modelers and others in the climate space.

Some key things:

  • Abstracts due: 31st October 2023
  • Full manuscripts due: 1st March
  • Guidelines and abstract submission info can all be found at the link above.

Please reach out if you have any questions.

Best,

Kathryn

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It's been a while since the Anthromes meeting, I hope you're all doing well. Have been dealing with almost permanent triage here since the meeting but I'm still really excited about all the topics discussed, about having meet most of you wonderful people, and the community building the meeting contributed to. This is still very much near to my heart and a personal priority.

Bennett Young is coordinating the Special Collection and is Managing Editor at PPP. Kathryn Baragwanath, Matt Craig, Rose Abramoff and myself will be serving as guest editors of the SC and Crystal McMichael too as a permanent editor at PPP (all cc'd too).

Key things:

  • Abstracts due: 31st October 2023
  • Full manuscripts due: 1st March
  • Guidelines and abstract submission info can all be found at the link above.

Please reach out to Bennet at the PPP address above or any of us with enquiries about the Special Collection. We already have interest from some of you which is great, thank you.

We're looking forward to reading your submissions!

All the best,

Anthony

On behalf of:

Bennett, Crystal, Kathryn, Matt, Rose, and the New Phyt team

p.s. A reminder that you can find all the fantastic talks from the meeting here.
