Colleagues,

We invite application for the PhD in Global Governance and Human Security at the John W. McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies at University of Massachusetts Boston. We offer several full fellowships with no citizenship restriction. Please share with students and colleagues.

The PhD program combines interdisciplinary knowledge and hands-on research experience for creative global problem solving across a range of issues, including economic welfare and human development, ecological sustainability, peace, public health, education, human rights and political freedom, and the interrelationships among them.

Our faculty members are internationally-recognized scholars and practitioners in fields including cross-cultural conflict and intergroup relations, democratic development, environmental governance and sustainability, gender studies, global health, international relations and political economy, mediation, and negotiation. With a mixture of US and international students, the diversity of students and alumni is broad and matched by the wide range of interests that students bring to the program.

The application deadline for Fall 2021 admission is February 1, 2021. This year, no GRE is required for admission. For more insights into the program, we are hosting an online information session with the program director, Prof. Maria Ivanova, on Monday, Nov. 30, from 2pm to 3:30pm ESTAdvanced registration required.

Thank you!

Maria
