Hi everyone!

I try to be conscious about sharing ISA-ESS stuff here since there are a lot of non-ISA members on the listserv as well, but we are trying to cast a wide net for communication and want to make sure we reach out to folks who may not be current section members but may be interested in joining and being involved in the ESS section in some capacity (especially grad students and other ECRs)!

The Environmental Studies Section of the International Studies Association has
committee positions available and we are welcoming self-nominations as well as
nominations of others; if you nominate someone, please be sure to have their consent
beforehand. Also, please be aware that anyone nominated must be a member of the
section in 2026 (and for the time they are serving) -- if you are not currently a member you can join very easily!

We would like your nominations by Friday, February 13, 2026, 11:59pm EST.

Please use the following form to submit your nomination:
https://forms.gle/nmTeDCMDM7w9rNL78

Available positions:
Executive Committee — 3 positions (2-year term)
Nominating Committee — 2 positions (2-year term)
Harold and Margaret Sprout Award Committee — 3 positions (2-year term)
Outreach Committee — 2 positions (2-year term)
Scholar Award Committee — 2 positions (2-year term)
Representative to Global Environmental Politics editorial board — 1 position (2-year term)

You can see who the current officers are at: https://www.isanet.org/ISA/Sections/ESS/Leadership

Please reach out if you are interested or have questions about what these roles entail!

Many thanks!
