Subject: Call for Applications: RGC Junior Research Fellow Scheme, Division of Public Policy, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

"Apologies for cross-posting"

Dear colleagues,

The Division of Public Policy (PPOL) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is calling for applications for the RGC Junior Research Fellow Scheme (JRFS).
https://www.ugc.edu.hk/eng/rgc/funding_opport/jrfs/index.html

We are particularly seeking researchers interested in exploring emerging digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and their implications for public policy and governance in addressing sustainability challenges, including climate change, biodiversity, and the circular economy.

The JRFS provides support to awardees for a period of 24 months to conduct postdoctoral research on a full-time basis, with an optional extension for up to 12 months upon request.  The annual stipend of approximately HKD 425,000 (equivalent to around USD 54,320) is provided to cover the awardee's basic salary, along with a conference and research-related travel allowance of around HKD 13,500.

Applications are open until August 31, 2025. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thank you very much for your kind consideration.

Best regards,
YARIME Masaru
