Dear Colleagues,
I am thrilled to announce the inauguration of a new book series, The Policy and Practice of Governance, that I will be editing for Lynne Rienner Publishers.
Contemporary problems demand innovative, sustainable solutions and collective intelligence that informs collective action. In recognition of this dynamic, books in the series will focus on the various aspects of governance in ways that transcend disciplinary boundaries, are clear and comprehensible, and are relevant to both policy and practice.
The remit of the series is broad, encompassing international relations, comparative politics, and area studies. Subjects of interest are likewise wide ranging, including issues of law, diplomacy, sustainable development, equity, government accountability, global change, international trade, and transnational activism, among many others.
The first book in the series, to be published in 2022, is “Redefining Development: The Extraordinary Genesis of the Sustainable Development Goals” by Paula Caballero with Patti Londoño. We are actively soliciting proposals for monographs or well-crafted, cohesive edited volumes that reflect analytical rigor and/or empirical innovation. Proposal guidelines are available on the publisher’s website. Please share this call with your networks and do reach out if you have a book idea.
Kind regards,
Maria Ivanova
