Dear friends, colleagues and collaborators,
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to participate in a project that's as exciting for me as it is for Stamen: Mapmaker Manifesto, a curation for the 2014 Istanbul Design Biennial.
The idea is to create a democratic voice of here and now through a curation of maps from all over the world. I am interested in all forms (print, digital, physical, etc.), and in creating a diversity of voice. We have an entire room at the Galata School to fill!
Creating a diversity of voice will require setting some targets beyond our existing network and reaching out as far as we can. This kind of outreach takes time, and yet given the Biennial timeline, we don't have a lot.
The timeline is short; all entries are due on September 15, 2014.
