Geography -- and geographers -- try to understand the dynamics of
movement of goods, ideas, people, diseases, animals, etc. in
geographic space; that is, on Earth. Every equipment we use comes from
somewhere and involves many people and issues from origins (yes,
plural) to the time we get it in our hands.
Not all of it is as pretty as the thing that lands in our hands and
that we flaunt with such joy and pride.
Here is one instance that shows us the dark side of a ubiquitous thing
