We flew into Houston Thursday morning to visit a niece and her family, and to
attend some soccer games. I was excited to see that there was this Indonesia
flag available, so as soon as we got out of the airport in our shiny red rental
SUV we headed for it! The drive took about half an hour, mostly on interstates
or other high-speed roads. Traffic was moderately heavy but mostly moved well.
The sky was about 50% covered in pretty, fluffy clouds. Of course being Houston
it was hot and humid! We made the final approach by turning onto Lake Front
Circle and immediately turning south through the parking lots associated with
the several buildings there. Ground zero was in the roadway at Main Parking Lot
8 belonging to The Woodlands United Methodist Church. Asphalt road and parking
lot with red curbs around the grassy plots at the end of the rows, and a maroon
and white banner hanging from the light pole to announce the lot number. From
here, we took a circuitous route (including a lunch stop at Chick-Fil-A) to
GDFK-BOMA.
