CADPower V21.07

Peeping into Excel files improved:

(improved) CP_EXCELQUERY: (CADPower -> Build -> CADPower Object data management -> Query and insert data from Excel sheet):

Excelquery_dlg2

The CP_EXCELQUERY dialog in V 21.07 of CADPower

The CP_EXCELQUERY command has been improved. There are now two new options which provide smarter tools for you to bring in data from Excel. The new 'Import current selection into this drawing' option now gives you the ability to import the currently selected row or column into your drawing as an MTEXT or as an attributed block. This is a quick version of the excel query operation when you just want to cherry-pick a row or column from Excel and have it inside your drawing.

There is also a new 'Copy-paste' button provided at the bottom of the dialog which is really a 'quick-and-dirty-tool' to mouse-select a section from your Excel (or any tabular data for that matter) and have it inserted in the current drawing as a table.

While we continue to delve deeper into Excel and bring out connected, queried information into your CAD, this is perhaps only the beginning of the journey. Please do share with us any new ideas you have that we can leverage using the CP_EXCELQUERY command.
