Geocaching.com keeps "optimizing" and "improving" their web service.
As before (2010-12-22), the last maintenance (2011-05-04) introduced a
couple of changes which made virtually all geocaching applications I'm
aware of (geo-* by Rick Richardson, c:geo for Android, and a few
others) fail.

The most prominent changes are ones to the "look and feel" of the web
surface (resulting in different "span" wrappers in the HTML source
code), a few renamings of internal variables, and the move to HTTPS
instead of HTTP for logins (the latter was overdue, IMHO).

It took almost two days to sort out the worst effects of those changes
- and I'd like to apologize for that.
Hey, at least we're back after two days, not three weeks like in
December/January! ;)

In a couple of hours (I hope) there will be an official release,
consisting of a source tarball (anyone missed the zip archive?), both
Windows and MacOS executables, and a Debian/Ubuntu package.
If you are willing to keep pace with recent development, feel free to
use the latest SVN revision.

The journey is the reward. Keep going!

3.14.4 has been released in source code and Mac OS X bundles. I'll
work on the Windows release later once I clean up my vmware setup.

The Debian/Ubuntu package has been built and uploaded as well. - S.

Now that the Windows package has been uploaded as well, and the Wiki
lists 3.14.4 as latest release, it's time to change the subject of
this thread ;)
