Hello to all,

I'm new in here so forgive if I'm not doing correctly.

Is possible to search caches along a route or not? I saw that issue
103 talks about it.

Thanks for the good job

Did you check the wiki? There's a page OtherSearches discussing the issue.
In a nutshell, one would use gpsbabel to simplify the track, then do a multiple GeoToad search around the remaining points.
Doing all of this inside GeoToad would violate the KISS principle.
Of course you'll have to customize the script as there's no suits-all parameter set.
If you're running on Windows that won't help you though, sorry. (If you can come up with a solution for Win please share it!)

Hi Steve,
I can do a little bit of programming (very little LOL) and my approach
was something like you said.
1. Use google earth to export the track
2. Open that file and decimate the number of waypoints
3. build a .bat file where I run geotoad with the "waypoint" search type

But I got to improve some points:
1. find a way of filtering only the points in the track (something
like a thin rectangle)
2. Better approach to reduce the number of points.

If I come up with a application do you think that I should share it?

I will search the wiki to see if they can give me some tips.

Best regards
