@marcus, the watch face freezes and will not wake up from dark mode, advance time, battery life or temperature on my specific face. I have to load another watch face that came with the watch and it works fine. If I switch back the Facer Face, it freezes again after some time.
I have a samsung galaxy 42mm & since I have started using Facer, the time keeps freezing. I am having to reboot the watch 4-5 times a day to kick start it again - is there a known bug & will this be fixed??
At first I thought it might be a new face causing issues, but the same occurs with all synced Facer watch faces.
They behave fine for several hours then just freeze (functionality and time), even after changing the Facer watch face. The only way to reset them is to choose a Samsung native watch face (i.e. closing the Facer app/watchface) and then re-choose the Facer watchface.
@Facer_Official - I have a user reporting the same, that the time is not updated after coming out of DIM mode and laggy upon waking up. It sounds like they are NOT using AOD and the screen sleeps. The watch is reported to be an S3 frontier like the other reports. It may be a tizen bug. I will ask the user for the facer version on both the phone and watch to ensure there is not a mismatch and report back. I will also test on my S3, I use the AOD and do not have the watch wake, but will test.
Same issue on TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra. When it goes to sleep the time ocasionally freeze. Today freezed on this watch face : B Sharp Watches - B# - Top Drawer - watch face for Apple Watch, Samsung Gear S3, Huawei Watch, and more - Facer
and drain battery about half. AOD is off.
This is driving me crazy and I haven't found a solution online. I know how to change my watch faces from my phone, but twice now when I am taking off my watch I notice that the watch face shrinks and lets me choose between my last 10 Facer app watch faces. I can't figure out how I triggered this. Holding down on the face lets me choose from the default Samsung watch faces and the buttons don't seem to be doing the trick either.
Welcome @chrisandrewsphoto
You must have the Pro version of the Facer creator. Then you can use themes to change colours or use VAR variables to interactively change design elements.
Without the Pro version, you can bind element colour changes to time, such as seconds or the time from turning on the watch face after DIM mode.
Disclaimers: I still don't use the "Import" function of Facer, but I imagine the steps would be exactly the same. Also, you could probably short-circuit some of my steps, I just list them as is because it is VERY repeatable, doesn't require any PC software or configuration (other than the browser) and the PC is so much faster for browsing/downloading than my phone. I could also automate nearly all of this, but the intent is to get "facer newbies" an easy and quickly repeatable way to add new watch faces to facer "manually". It also doesn't require any "physical connectivity" between the PC, phone or watch. All you need is a browser and a cloud drive account (I use drive.google.com).
Download the ZIP file to your PC. If it's a .face file, I go ahead and "unnecessarily" add the .zip extension to the file. I choose the default location on my hard drive which is usually my Downloads folder, regardless of which browser I use to download the file. Makes navigating to it super easy.
5) Extract the zip file to a directory in sdcard/Facer. ES File Explorer comes with a built in Zip Viewer/Extractor, but I'm guessing most File Nav apps will be the same. In ES File Explorer "Open" (single click/press) on the sdcard/facer watch face zip file. It will open the ES Zip Viewer showing you the contents of the zip file. Select Extract and choose whatever default directory it recommends. NOTE: Some watch face Zip Files contain Zip Files. You want the directory that contains the following files and folders: preview.png, description.json, watchface.json, images, fonts, etc.
oops !! Same issue started again. It shows Loading Watchface and thats it, it takes you back to the same watch face which is already set. Something bad is happening with your updates, because changing the watch faces from Android Wear or Zen Watch manager is successful.
I am new to Facer. Just added it 2 days ago and I am having the same issue. I have not created a thing, but cannot sync any of the faces I have chosen. I have a Samsung Gear S2 and my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
If your having issues syncing a watch face please try the following. On the watch go to settings, then apps, select facer, then permissions. Inside there make sure receive complication data is activated.
I actually managed to get mine to work again. Make sure Android Ware and Faced are both updated. Turn the watch off, not a restart but complete shut down. Shut down your phone as well. Turn on phone then watch. Periodically it just stops working and turning the watch off always seems to fix it now.
In Short, goto GOOGE PLAY, you will notice your watch is obtaining a new network connection with your WiFi or other, once you are in, go straight to FACER app, switch faces and you will see it works, but only for a period of time.
If nothing works from above, I would suggest you contact Facer Support by emailing them at: facer-...@little-labs.com They will want you to include the watch brand and model number, the operating system version plus the Facer app version you have. Also include a detailed explanation of the issue you are having so they can investigate what might be going on.
Once I used to think, the counter on watch face will show close values to native step counter app when they both reset at midnight. Recently I got feedback it was not the case and it is rather common the app and watch face live separate lives on the watch.
Facer Watch Faces app is the most complete and popular watch face app on the market today. It offers dozens of the most appealing options from major brands worldwide. And now, with Facer 4.0, the company is taking a step closer to high-end watches, similar to Fossil.
Also, we have amazing utilities such as an upgrade control platform to be more friendly and easier to use, revolving your watch face circularly with a variety of eye-catching images and videos. Besides, you can view the watch face in full-screen format. Facer also allows capturing wallpapers as watch faces right in the app.
Smartwatches and Android Wear devices have one cool feature that you can change any watch face you like. We no longer have to look at the boring single watch face. Instead, you can set an electronic dial, analog clock, altimeter face, compass integration and so many more designs that you may not even imagine. In this section, we will guide you on how to install more watch faces for your Android Wear device with the Facer app. The app contains a tremendous amount of watch faces for you to choose from.
The watch faces for Android Wear are also an app. But you must install it from your phone, not download and install directly on your watch. As before, you need to know how to access where to change the face first. We will talk about how to set the watch face. The way most people often use it is to use my Android phone.
Also, you need to use the Facer software to face an Android Wear device. This application will install on the phone. Its primary task is for you to choose the watch face as you like. Then, the app will switch that watch face to display on the smartwatch. You can install the Facer via this link. This app costs only $1 if you purchase the premium version on the online store. But it supports many beautiful faces designed by the entire community, which are not just a few simple faces.
We often use facerepo.com because there are many beautiful designs. You can choose the right models for the device you are using easily. You should use your phone directly to access the links above to download pages for faster and more convenient. Otherwise, once you download it, extract it, and copy it to your phone. When you have selected a design that you love, press the corresponding Download button on the website being viewed.
We are about to enter an era where changing the look of your watch will be almost as natural as changing the wallpaper on your smartphone. Android Wear finally offers a platform that offers the right level of customization, and the first creative tools are appearing. For example, Face for Wear, an app that allows you to create and share your watch faces. But basically, it only allows you to combine unique items. Facer is much more elastic, powerful, and functional.
Facer allows us to process our watch faces with the greatest flexibility. The difference between the two apps is the one that goes between Paint and Photoshop, which is the processing system. The designs achievable with Facer can be much more complex and detailed. But, inevitably, the app is also more complicated to use. You need to be familiar with graphics software to come up with something good.
If it is not your case, do not despair. Facer offers a small selection of ready-made watch faces, which are accessible from the side navigation menu. Unfortunately, the gallery is not very comfortable to visit as it lacks a bit of sorting options, filters, and other convenient interactions. At least, the app chooses the watch faces based on our interests and hobbies. Besides, it can suggest suitable faces for the watch shapes.
To make up for the lack of a simple system for sharing and uploading the themes created, Facer offers an online gallery that already boasts a vast database of watch faces. It will not make you regret it when making extra-purchases for the Premium APK version. The procedure is laborious.
From Facer, choose the import button from My Faces page. It is only necessary to navigate to the folder where the file was downloaded by default, download the SD card or USB storage. Once imported, they can apply the theme to the smartwatch or change freely.
