Agraduate of Indiana University in Pennsylvania, Tony Marciano began his coaching career at his alma mater coaching tight ends. The very next year, 1979, he made his way to Texas by the way of Texas Christian University. It only took one year for him to move from a graduate assistant position into the full time head strength and conditioning director/offensive line coach for the Horned Frogs.

Marciano took his first offensive coordinator position in 1987 at Brown University. Only staying two years at Brown, the coaching profession led Marciano to the University of Richmond labeling him the special teams coordinator/offensive line coach for the 1989 Season.

He also coached eight years experience in the NFL and another four years in the CFL. In 1994, Marciano made his first appearance in the Canadian Football League where he would head up the offensive line unit for the Toronto Argonauts. After one short year and a playoff appearance, Marciano would take an opportunity within the CFL jumping over to the Calgary Stampeders to become the offensive line coach and eventually the offensive coordinator in 1997.

The Goodwill Theatre will present "The Little Flower" featuring Tony Lo Bianco at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Binghamton High School's Helen Foley Theater. The one-man show is set in the City Hall office of Fiorello La Guardia, during his final day as three-term mayor of New York City.

"The Little Flower" shows a historic look into the life and career of La Guardia, a courageous and flamboyant personality who read comics to the children during a newspaper strike, fought against corruption and cleaned up city politics, thus setting a new standard for mayors and politicians in America. He was hailed as a great statesman and champion of the poor and underprivileged, and a father figure to millions of Americans living through the hard times of the 1930s and 1940s.He was steadfast in standing up for his beliefs regardless of obstacles, challenges or political agenda.

During his career, Lo Bianco has appeared in numerous films, television programs and stage performances, both onscreen and off as an actor, writer, director and producer. Onstage, he won an Obie Award for best actor in Jason Miller's "Yanks-3, Detroit-0, Top of the 7th." Following his performance as Eddie in Arthur Miller's "A View from the Bridge on Broadway," he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actor and won the Outer Critics Circle Award. He also won a New York Area Television Academy Award and daytime Emmy for "Hizzoner! The Life of Fiorello La Guardia."

On screen, Lo Bianco regularly portrays tough-guy, blue-collar roles on both sides of the law as policemen, mobsters and crime bosses. As a former Golden Gloves boxer, Brooklyn-born New Yorker and Italian-American, Lo Bianco has brought colorful life to all types in film and television.

His best-known film performances are as Sal Boca in "The French Connection" with Gene Hackman; as Ray Fernandez in cult classic "The Honeymoon Killers"; as Peter in "God Told Me To"; "Bloodbrothers" with Richard Gere; "City Heat" with Clint Eastwood; Oliver Stone's "Nixon" with Anthony Hopkins; "The Juror" with Alec Baldwin and Demi Moore; and "F.I.S.T." with Sylvester Stallone. His most recent film appearances are 2011's "Kill the Irishman," alongside Vincent D'Onfrio, Val Kilmer and Christopher Walken; and 2013's "Send No Flowers" with Sean Young.

On television, Lo Bianco starred as fighter Rocky Marciano in 1979's "Marciano" and again in the remake, "The Rocky Marciano Story" with George C. Scott. He appeared in the miniseries "Marco Polo," "Jesus of Nazareth," "La Romana" and "The Last Tenant" (with legendary acting teacher Lee Strasberg). He has appeared over the years in several "Law & Order" episodes as well as "Murder, She Wrote," "The Twilight Zone" and "Get Smart." As a director, Lo Bianco helmed several episodes of the television series "Police Story," the feature film "Too Scared to Scream" and several other television series.

In 1963, Lo Bianco co-founded the Triangle Theater on the Upper East Side and served as artistic director for six years, during which time lighting designer Jules Fisher, playwright Jason Miller and actor Roy Scheider passed through its doors. Lo Bianco directed eight productions and produced 25 others.

Lo Bianco also will give a presentation to members of the Binghamton University Forum on Tuesday and perform "A Little Flower" on Wednesday during the school day to students at Binghamton High School.

Struthers -Struthers - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church, Struthers, preceded by a 9:45 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Donna Jean (Restivo) Marciano, 65, of Struthers, who passed away peacefully Monday evening, September 19, 2016 with her loving husband by her side after a courageous 4-year battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Donna will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her humble, upbeat and funny personality along with living life to the fullest.

She was born November 18, 1950 in Youngstown, the daughter of Dominic and Josephine (Cervello) Restivo and was a lifelong area resident.

Donna was a 1968 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and then earned her Bachelor's and Master's Degree both in Education from Youngstown State University.

Donna was a school teacher for over 30 years with the Struthers School System and was the Guidance Counselor at Struthers High School for the last 10 years of her career and retired in 2009.

She was a long time member of at Christ Our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church, the Struthers Education Association and the Struthers School Foundation.

Donna was inducted in 1997 to the Mahoning Valley Ohio Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa which is a professional fraternity in education which promotes Free Public Education. She was honored in 2007 by the Beeghley College of Education as a counselor for her outstanding contributions to the profession and then in 2016, Donna was honored by the Struthers Rotary Community Corps and awarded the Struthers Hometown Hero Award.

She had many passions throughout her life and was truly family oriented. Donna enjoyed shopping with her sister, going on vacation to the ocean with her family, spending time with her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and going on the monthly bus gambling trips from St. Nick's. Donna loved animals and upon retirement she took up swimming and golfing.

Donna leaves behind to hold onto her precious memories her beloved husband of over 36 years Nicholas A. "Nick" Marciano whom she married October 13, 1979 at St. Nicholas Church, two brothers Joseph (Michele) Restivo of Struthers and Alphonso (Char) Restivo of Canton, two brother-in-law's Raymond Marciano of Florida and Joseph Rocco Simari of Cleveland and her beloved Border Collie Bella, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends

Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by a sister Joanne Marie Simari and two beloved dogs Queeny and Elroy.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home 4700 Market St., Boardman.

Entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.

Donna's family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation and thanks to the entire staff of Hospice of the Valley for all the care and support shown to them throughout this difficult time.
