The Department of Geoinformatics at the Paris-Lodron University Salzburg (PLUS) offers a PostDoc position to support the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master programme in Earth observation (EO) research and teaching. The two-year full-time employment is set to start on September 1, 2024. In this post-doctoral academic qualification phase, we offer the opportunity to deepen the specific domain expertise. The position is offered for two years but can also be extended up to four years. It will be affiliated with the department’s EO Analytics research group and the Erasmus Mundus “Copernicus Master in Digital Earth” postgraduate degree programme.

 

We are looking for a highly motivated and qualified postdoctoral researcher with an excellent track record in research and teaching in the field of spatial data science of the European Earth observation programme Copernicus. The candidate shall be willing to teach skills or concepts to international students and to collaborate in research and education projects. As a postdoctoral researcher, the candidate will develop the skills necessary for the next career steps and interact closely with faculty and MSc students through joint research projects and teaching. Candidates are selected by the head of the EO analytics research group and the academic coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master programme.
