I too am a paragliding pilot.   It lets your phone easily send and display lat&long SMSes (it also understands Spot SMSes).  So for pilots that can run GeoSMS you are good to go, unfortunately it won't help for pilots that don't have an Android phone.

I coordinate retrieve buses for a Paragliding Competition.  Usually I am bombarded with texts spots, phone calls and radio calls with locations, and coordinates while I am driving.
My ideal is to have someone remotely entering pilots landed coordinates that have been sent by Spot or SMS.  These locations to appear up on a map on a Tablet in each of the the retrieve buses.  Does GeoSMS do this?  (Clearly I am not a tech head)
