I lost my internet connection last week due to a tree taking a cable down. I am hoping it will be repaired today (Mon 18 June).
GeoScout is still available but loofing to the future and having used the Groundspeak app for Windows Phone, I not believe there is much additional value that I can add. The Groundspeak app appears to do most of the things that GeoScout does, and looks much prettier!
I am aware that there are some outstanding issues (e.g. with posting logs) which I will try to fix once I get my broadband back.
I also tried to get to the website. I have a serious issue I wanted to report. When I went out geocaching yesterday I started Geoscout only to be informed that the evaluation time had expired (I have registered). The program closed down and was unusable. There I was, 50Km from home without spoilerpics and full logs. Fortunately my Colorado gad descriptions for the multi(s) we had planned.
Back home I tried to start GS again with the phone connected to the PC (sharing internet) but still no go.
Now what?? I'd like to use GS on my next caching trip but it will at least have to start up to do so and not nag about needing to register. :-(
BTW, my phone has Windows Mobile 6.5 and can't upgrade to WM7 so apps are of no use to me. I'm hoping to use this phone for some time and there's no alternative for GS (I've tried a bunch...).
