Abstract

Borehole image logs gain a deeper insight in to the reservoir by high-resolution data sets. Those are effective tools in subsurface characterization, performing structural, stratigraphic and petrophysical analysis.

With the ability to handle a wide range of acoustic and electrical imaging tools, the Geolog’s Image Log Processing and Analysis image module provides a vendor-independent solution for the processing and interpretation of borehole image logs. Starting with image generation from raw logs, borehole analysis including automatic generation of dips, texture and fractures from image data, to further analysis of image petrophysics, fracture analysis and auto texture, provides a thorough solution with an intuitive, tool specific workflow.  Interactive dip azimuth walkout plots and stereonet provide the geologist with tools to interpret structural data.

Wini Rizkiningayu

Wini is Paradigm Asia Pacific’s Business Development Manager in the Reservoir Characterization – Formation Evaluation domain. Wini’s key role includes engaging and consulting Oil and Gas companies who are working with Paradigm’s reservoir characterization’s software and workflow, technical presentation, trade shows, technical days and demo for the clients, public training and customized workshop for Paradigm’s customers in the Asia Pacific region. Wini Rizkiningayu holds a BS degree of Electronics and Instrument science from Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia.

Diego Vasquez Perez

Diego Vasquez holds a BS degree on Geological Engineering from the Central University of Venezuela. He started his career as Production Geologist, before becoming a Borehole Geologist for two of the main Wireline services providers, allowing him to gain a combined experience of over six years on this area. During this time, he completed the interpretation of hundreds of Wireline images across several different basins in South America, to obtain Structural, Stratigraphic and Petrophysical data, key in exploration programs. He was in involved in the processing of Logging While Drilling (LWD) images to obtain key structural data in real time, helping Geosteering in high profile boreholes.

For the last year and a half, Diego has been working as a Technical Sales Advisor in the Reservoir Characterization domain in the Paradigm Asia-Pacific region, based in Perth, Western Australia. His current role also includes technical consulting, holding training sessions and technical presentations, to help clients make the most of the data acquired from the field, and onsite support for Paradigm Software users.
