An automatic weather station was installed on the University of
Georgia-Costa Rica Campus in San Luis, Costa Rica, during the first
week of December, 2008. The weather station has the same configuration
as the other stations of the Georgia Automated Environmental
Monitoring Network. It records air temperature, relative humidity,
rainfall, solar radiation, wind speed and direction, barometric
pressure, soil temperature at three different depths, and soil
moisture at a one-second frequency. The weather data are summarized
every 15 minutes and are downloaded via the local WiFi system on the
UGA-Costa Rica Campus and the internet. Current weather conditions are
updated every 15 minutes and can be obtained from the AEMN web site at
http://www.griffin.uga.edu/aemn/cgi-bin/AEMN.pl?site=CRSL&report=c.
Other weather information from this location can be retrieved from
