9th Annual WeatherFest. Atlanta, GA. Sunday 17 January 2010. 12:00–
4:00 p.m. Free of Charge and Open to All!
Teachers, students, families! Mark your calendar for the American
Meteorological Society’s 9th Annual WeatherFest, a cool, super-size
science fair to teach you all about the weather, climate and related
fields.

What is WeatherFest?
WeatherFest is an interactive four-hour science and weather fair
designed to instill a love for math and science in children of all
ages and to spark a young person’s interest in this area so they may
consider a career in these and other science and engineering fields.

When is WeatherFest?
WeatherFest, sponsored by the American Meteorological Society, will be
held on Sunday 17 January 2010.

Where is WeatherFest?
WeatherFest 2009 will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center in
downtown Atlanta.

Who can come?
WeatherFest is for everyone. We’ll have nearly 60 cool and
interactive science exhibits including hands-on experiments,
educational information, career guides and much more.

Special Opportunity for Georgia Teachers--Teacher Workshop
Sunday, 17 January, 2010. 9:00–11:00 A.M.

Attention Georgia area teachers—are you looking for new ways to teach
your Georgia Science standards? Do you want to learn about the water
cycle, weather hazards and water resources of Georgia? Have you ever
wondered how your local TV meteorologists analyze weather patterns
using satellites and other weather tools? Then this workshop is for
you!
