Subject: ADOPTION READY!! HELP NEEDED-- TARBORO, NC-- Sweet Surrendered Pup Needs Second Chance

Good afternoon,

I am a volunteer sending this email on behalf of the Edgecombe County Animal Shelter in North Carolina.

Sweet Ruby was surrendered to the shelter when her owner moved and could no longer care for her. When Ruby first came into the shelter, we suspected she was pregnant, so we quickly had her spayed at one of our partnering vets. Ruby has been the sweetest girl! She loves attention and is always ready to accept some high-quality cuddles! She even allowed us to inspect her surgery site without any issues. Ruby is quite a high-energy girl, and she would do best in an active home. However, I do believe she would settle in nicely for a movie night on the couch after a good hike or other adventure. I cannot describe how wonderful this dog is! If I did not have a grumpy old dog at my house, she would have come home with me long ago! Ruby is patiently waiting for her forever home-- she has so much love to give!

Name: Midnight Ruby   Sex: Female (SPAYED)   Age (Approx.): 3 years   Weight: 54lbs   Vaccines: Rabies, Bordetella, DHLPP   Intake Date: 05/13/2026   Heartworm Status: NEG

Ruby was recently spayed, so we will not be performing formal dog tests for a few weeks. She has done fine seeing dogs in passing. I do not foresee any issues with other dogs.

Feel free to reach out with any additional questions or concerns. Thank you,
