Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out because we urgently need help finding a foster or permanent home for an incredible dog named Tyson.
Tyson was found inches from 44 in Greensboro Georgia and seconds from being hit by a car. It was a terrifying situation, and we truly believe he was intentionally dumped. After a lot of effort, we were able to track down his owner, who ultimately surrendered him to us.
Tyson is an 8-year-old neutered Lab mix, clean bill of health per our vet and up to date on rabies vaccine, potty trained, and honestly everything you’d hope for in a companion. He acts just like a Lab — calm, affectionate, playful, and incredibly loving. He is amazing with kids. My son has spent hours sitting on the dock fishing with him, and Tyson never leaves his side. If you’re looking for a fishing buddy, this is your dog.
He has been fine with our dogs, but the previous owner mentioned he would do best as the only dog in the household.
We have three dogs of our own and are doing everything we can to keep Tyson safe. He is currently staying in our heated and cooled garage so we can keep everyone separated just in case, but this is not something we can sustain long-term. Our local shelters are full, and we are running out of options.
Tyson does not deserve the situation he was put in. He is an amazing dog and would make the most loyal, loving companion to the right person or family. We have him posted through friends and family all along the East Coast — five to six states so far — and we are hopeful someone out there can help.
If you or someone you know can foster, adopt, or help us connect with a rescue, we would be beyond grateful. Any help at all would mean the world to us — and to Tyson.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for sharing if you can.
With gratitude,
