There is an elderly woman in Pickens County, Jasper, Georgia who is in desperate need of rescue assistance. She has reached out to multiple shelters, rescues, and animal control agencies, and unfortunately everyone has turned her away. She does not have a cell phone, so she has been physically driving from place to place trying to get help.

This situation started the way so many do — she began feeding a stray dog, the dog became pregnant, and now the population has completely spiraled out of control. The dogs are now inbreeding.

At this point, there are approximately 17 dogs total. A black female recently had a litter of 9 puppies, but sadly none survived. Another tan-colored female had a litter of 11 puppies, and only 5 are still alive — 4 males and 1 female. The remaining puppies are very small and underweight.

The woman is elderly, tiny in stature, and trying her best, but she is overwhelmed. She is literally going without food herself just to feed these dogs. Her heart is in the right place, but the situation has become more than she can handle alone.

A few of the smaller dogs (they are all seniors she has had them for 12+ years - these are also included in the 17 ) inside the home have already been spayed/neutered, fully vetted, and are well cared for. The main issue is the group of medium-sized outdoor dogs. They resemble smaller golden retriever types.

One of the females was suffering from severe demodex mange. I personally brought medication, and she is already improving. I have also dewormed the puppies, but I currently do not have enough dewormer for the adult dogs.

I do have photos and videos available of the dogs and puppies.
