GSWAG UPDATE! Event next Tuesday!

Hey GSWAG, 

I apologize for taking such a long time to update all of you on our progress, but there has been a ton going on! I hope your department head has been in contact with you and you are busy working on some fun projects. 

Anyways, here are some general updates about what's been going on:

1. MR. PAT HAGGERTY - We will be having another guest speaker event next Tuesday, 2/25 at 8 PM. Come listen to and talk with Pat Haggerty, a speechwriter who has written for several members of Congress, among other notable figures. Location TBA. New members: please bring confidentiality agreements and dues if you have not done so!
2. PRACTICE SPEECHES - Julia, the Director of Speechwriting, has released the first practice speech. She has assigned teams and a deadline. The Executive Board is looking forward to reading the speeches and seeing what member who signed up for the speech come up with! 
3. CLIENTS! - We have recently completed projects for ALIVE! Inc., PRS, Inc., and New Hope Housing. We are awaiting comments and feedback from our clients. Additionally, we are attempting to iron out the details for prospective relationships with both Global Caravan and MedTech, a medical education company. We are having a great semester on this front and are looking forward to building our professional relationship! 
4. INTERNSHIP/CONTACT LIST - We are compiling a list of communications-related internships and professional contacts. If you know of either of these things, please email your department head with the information so that we can continue to build our network and share opportunities with our members. 
5. E-BOARD APPLICATION - The application process for the 2014-15 Executive Board will be announced before Spring Break! Please start thinking about this, if you are interested.
