Hey GSWAG!
I hope you all have been enjoying the great weather and are getting ready for Easter Break -- I know I am!
As the semester winds down, I want to share a quick update with you all regarding our end of semester plans, along with a few other notes.
- GENERAL BODY MEETING - We will be holding our final meeting of the semester on Wednesday, 4/23/14 at 8:15 PM in a room TBA. We ask that everyone attend so that you can meet the new E-Board, give us your feedback from the year, and pay your dues/hand-in your NDAs!!!!
- DUES/NDAs - As the last point makes clear, not everyone has paid dues or handed in their Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). I sent out a reminder to those who owe something last night, so please contact me ASAP to arrange a time to hand everything in. Alternatively, you may bring whatever you owe to the meeting on 4/23/14.
- END OF THE YEAR FORMS/PROMPT - As we did last semester, we will send out the link to a survey asking whether or not you would like to continue your membership in GSWAG. Additionally, the survey will include optional questions asking for your feedback. Finally, we have several open speechwriter positions due to internal promotions and study-abroad plans. The new Executive Board will prepare their own application process; however, we would like all members of the speechwriting track to complete an individual end-of-year prompt, which we will send out in the next few weeks. Every member of the speechwriting department, along with anyone interested in a speechwriting position should complete this short task.
- EVENT ATTENDANCE - As you all know (if you read these emails...) we have had some incredible speakers offer their time to us this year. At many of our events we have had an awesome turnout and many people have heard from some incredible communications professionals. Unfortunately, attendance at our last event was fairly embarrassing for our club. I understand that many of you have other commitments, but as the Executive Board works to secure big names, we ask that every member attend at least 1 event all semester. This doesn't apply for most of you and I know we have a great membership, but the Executive Board wanted to make that clear.
Sorry to end on a somber note, but I hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoys the short week! Looking forward to seeing everyone around campus over the next few weeks.
Best,
-Will
