Hey GSWAG,

With Georgetown Day and finals fast approaching, this will be my last update email to the entire club before Julia Kieserman takes over as President on May 1st.

Here's what's going on right now:
  1. FINAL MEETING (REQUIRED!): On this Wednesday (4/23) at 8:30 PM we will be meeting in ICC 115 for our final meeting of the semester. All members are REQUIRED to attend. Additionally, please bring your dues and signed NDAs to the meeting if you have not handed these in yet.
  2. GAAP MINI - SAC FAIR: This coming Sunday (4/27), we will be tabling in Red Square for the Mini-SAC fair that is a part of GAAP weekend. We would love all of the help we can get, so please sign-up to table for 30 minutes. It's a really short commitment and it will help get incoming freshman excited about GSWAG! Sign-up here.
  3. CLIENT UPDATE: Although it's the end of the semester, we have still been working hard to deliver top-quality products to our clients. We have completed another round of blog articles for the medical education company we are working for. Also, we completed a set of outreach and marketing materials for Brain Injury Services' Speaker's Bureau. Finally, we have secured new work with Volunteer Alexandria and a student-led initiative, Pennies for Preemies (led by GSWAG member Nick Cortina). I'm sure Julia will keep you updated with all of our progress over the summer.
As you can see, there are still some important tasks and meeting to finish up.

I'll keep this short, but I want to say how great an honor it has been to be President over the last year. We have made incredible strides, growing from 15/20 members to over 80 while hosting more events and working with more clients. Every one of our accomplishments could not have been achieved without the hard work, dedication, and support of each and every member, no matter how small your role was. As President, you challenged me to find new ways to keep members involved, to try to motivate individuals based on what works for you (not me), and to think outside the box. For all of that, thank you.

However, there is still so much we can better. As an old, crotchety retiree of GSWAG I look forward to watching the club continue to grow and accomplish new things while nostalgically complaining about everything.

Good luck on your finals, have a great summer, and I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Hey everyone -- Just a reminder about tonight's mandatory meeting. It won't last too long and we want everyone there to meet the new Board and discuss our progress. Also, please bring dues or NDAs if you still need to hand those in (you would've gotten an email from me sometime in the last 2 weeks about it).

See you all at 8:30 PM in ICC 115!
-Will
